Making Pizza is always a fun activity. You just need an oven and a handful of ingredients and it’s done. But you need to be just little extra watchful to make a Pizza in truly Italian way.
Ingredients: Make sure you have the following items to ensure you make a Pizza with an Italian touch. The following ingredients are sufficient to makes dough for 4 pizzas, each one about 12 inches in diameter:
⦁ 600 ml of warm water and a bowl
⦁ 7 cups (1kg) flour (preferably type ‘doppio zero’ as it is highly-refines and finest ground flour)
⦁ 2.25 teaspoons (25 grams) yeast
⦁ 6 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
⦁ 1.5 tablespoons of table salt
⦁ 2 teaspoons sugar
⦁ Toppings of your choice like Onion, Tomatoes, Crisp Capsicum, Oregano, Chilli Flakes, Garlic etc.

1. First, sprinkle the yeast into a medium bowl with the warm water. Just make sure that the water isn’t too hot or cold.
2. Place all of the flour on the table in the shape of a mountain and pour the yeast-and-warm-water mix into it.
3. Start Kneading everything together for 10 to 15 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
4. Then grease up a bowl with some olive oil and put the dough inside the bowl. Turn the dough around to ensure that the dough is oiled from all sides. Now just cover the bowl and put the dough aside and let it rest for at least four or five hours.
5. Since we are preparing an authentic Italian pizza, make a cross on top of the dough with a knife. In the Italian tradition, this is also seen as a way of “blessing the bread.”
6. Preheat the oven to about 200°C, or about 400°F.
7. Now dump the dough out of the bowl back onto the floured surface. Get rid of any bubbles by punching it down. After doing this, divide the dough in half and let it rest for a few minutes.
8. It’s important to give your Pizza a perfect shape. Roll each section into a 12-inch disc and decide how much thick you want the crust of your Pizza to be. After you are done with this, transfer the dough onto an oiled pizza pan or a baking sheet.
9. Add tomato sauce, an important ingredient in Pizza. You can also skip this step if you don’t like Tomato sauce but don’t forget to brush the edges of the crust with a little bit of olive oil to make the edges softer.
10. Bake each pizza for about 10 minutes and then add sliced or grated mozzarella cheese on top with other ingredients like jalapenos, capsicum, onion, mushroom, pineapple, golden corn, baby corn, gherkins, red paprika, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, paneer and exotic herbs .
11. Let the pizzas bake until the crust is browned and the cheese is melted. Lift up the pizza and see underneath to ensure the bottom has browned too.
12. Now remove your pizzas from the oven and garnish it with a few basil leaves and enjoy the Italian feast.
